Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Grind Before The Final Battle
So I managed to get to the final gate before the final boss. At least this is what Noel says in a round about way. So what I’m doing now is grinding and making sure I get all the small stuff like fragments before I fight Caius (Which I am assuming is the final boss or some derivative). The goal is to grind up and level up my monsters before then. I am still rocking with two of the beginner monsters which blows, but I have a Silver Chocobo which will help me win races and get some items.
I’ve always been a fan of chocobo races and I’m glad they’ve brought it back. Which I had more control like back in FFVII, but it’s something. I’m also anticipating on the DLC for the card games in the casino. I think one of them is texas hold’em but not too sure. It’s a poker game for sure. I’ve also realized that in getting some of the final fragments in different eras, they provide an OP monster that requires a good set up and leveled characters.
There is one that starts off with all buffs for about the same length haste is if you get a preemptive attack in. I find it unfair because I think he is immune to the dispell magic (which would be the common sense thing to do to start off the battle). So I got punished. I played the raise and pray method of constantly reviving in hopes that I can last til everyone is alive and I can heal the team. No success. So I go around trying to level up to fight them again.
I am also going to get Lighting on my team. The problem is that I have to beat her in the Colosseum. I have a feeling that she’ll be op as well. Well balanced, which is expected of the main character of FFXIII (which can be argued)
